Magnitude 5 quake rocks Infanta

A FAIRLY strong earthquake measured at magnitude 5 rocked the town of Infanta town 9:33 p.m. last Sunday, December 18.

No one was reported hurt in Infanta and its adjacent vicinity as a result of the earthquake, which was detected and measured by an intensity meter in the town of Bani, Pangasinan installed only recently by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.

According to Phivolcs, the earthquake had a depth of 13 kilometers, 73 kilometers south of Infanta, Pangasinan. (Jovelyn Domingo/UdD)
