GOV. Ramon Guico III issued Executive Order No. 0013-2022 defining guidelines to be observed in the observance of Undas 2022 in Pangasinan, in conformity with the guidelines issued by IATF-EID for the nationwide implementation of Alert Level System for COVID-19 response.

Foremost, Guico ordered the voluntary wearing of face masks in open spaces and non-crowded outdoor areas with ventilation, but fully-vaccinated senior citizens, and immunocompromised individuals are “highly encouraged” to wear their masks.

He said the minimum public health standards shall continue to be implemented. Bringing of sanitizers is highly encouraged, adding that any person exhibiting flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough and colds are discouraged to visit the cemeteries.

At the same time, Guico gave local chief executives of component towns and cities the discretion to formulate and implement a schedule of cemetery visits for their barangays and for non-residents depending on the COVID-19 situation within their respective jurisdictions.

Under the EO, visits to memorial parks, cemeteries and columbaria will not be limited but a one-entry, one-exit policy should be implemented in these places.

Conduct of picnics and similar activities have been discouraged, and overnight visits is prohibited.

The Provincial Health Office and municipal and city health offices were directed to set up medical tents at the entrances of all cemeteries while police stations have been required to set up police assistance desks in all cemeteries. (Leonardo Micua)
