THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) will remain on full alert status for the duration of the observance of “Undas”

P/Major Ria Tacderan, PPPO information officer, said 1,159 police personnel in the province will be deployed to 176 cemeteries, malls, churches, tourists spots, and transportation terminals to ensure maximum safety coverage and heightened police visibility.

Some 2,891 force multipliers composed of Barangay Peace Keeping Action Teams, Kabalikat and Deltacom will also be deployed,” Tacderan told the ‘Pantongtongan Tayo’ virtual presser of PIA-Pangasinan last week.

She said police personnel will man all entries of cemeteries to ensure that no banned items, i.e., deadly or bladed weapons, loud speakers, liquors, and gambling paraphernalia enter the premises. “Drinking liquor will be prohibited inside cemeteries,” she added.

There will be police teams that will render assistance to all motorists along national and provincial highways and all major thoroughfares in the province while other teams will monitor and implement the minimum public health protocols during the observance of Undas.

While protocols inside cemeteries may vary according to local government advisories, she said  wearing of face masks and bringing identification cards by parents, if they have children with them are encouraged. (PIA Pangasinan/EMSA)
