Manaoag’s Minor Basilica unscathed from quake

By August 7, 2022Inside News

THE Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Manaoag is safe and did not incur any damage when the Magnitude 5 earthquake rocked Pangasinan on July 27.

This was reported by Mayor Jeremy Agerico Rosario, who said no micro din was found on the basilica per inspection by municipal engineers after the quake. He said he immediately ordered the basilica to be cordoned off while engineers were conducting their inspection and until it was declared safe.

Devotees thanked the Lady of Manaoag for sparing the basilica from destruction wrought by the temblor unlike what other shrines in Ilocos Sur suffered. (104.7 IFM-Dagupan)
