City launches PinasLakas COVID-19 vaccination drive

PINASLAKAS, a nationwide COVID-19 vaccination campaign of President Ferdinand  Marcos Jr. and the Department of Health (DOH) was launched in Dagupan City on August 15 at the City Plaza to increase the number of fully-immunized Filipinos and to target 50% of target population to have booster shots within the First 100 Days of Pres. Marcos.

Mayor Belen Fernandez and Vice Mayor Bryan Kua and joined DOH officials led by Regional Director Dr. Paula Paz Sydiongco during the launch.

DOH lauded the city for reaching the 97.79% mark in vaccination resulting in 144,699 fully-immunized Dagupeños.

City Health Officer Dr. Ophelia Rivera said 1,000 individuals were vaccinated during  the launch and each received three kilos of rice as incentive from the city government.

A similar vaccination drive was conducted recently in Barangay Salisay where residents received five kilos of rice, along with free medical check-ups from the CHO and registration forms for the KonSulTa (Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama) program under the Universal Health Care. (CIO)
