A man was crushed to death by a ten-wheeler truck after falling down from his motorcycle dawn of Tuesday, July 19 along the McArthur Highway in Barangay Bacag in Villasis town.

Victim Butch Gallardo, of legal age, resident of Bontoc, Mountain Province, was trying to overtake on the right side when he lost control of his motorcycle and fell off the pavement.

At about the same time, Gervacio Acosta, 62 years old, of Barangay Surong in Baguio City, driver of a 10-wheeler truck, was traveling behind Gallardo when the latter suddenly fell on the road. Acosta did not have time to step on the brakes soon enough to keep from running over Gallardo.

Gallardo sustained severe head injuries, and was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead. .(Ahikam Pasion)
