OFFICES of the local government of Calasiao were placed on  granular lockdown from January 19 to 21 to give way for disinfection and contact tracing.

Mayor Joseph Arman Bauzon ordered the lockdown through Executive Order Number 6-2022 issued on January 18.

He said some 26 employees of the municipal government tested positive for COVID-19 via rapid antigen tests administered by the Municipal Health Office last Tuesday, January 18.

“The temporary closure of all municipal government offices is necessary to avoid further infection, as well as make way for contact tracing, confirmatory RT-PCR testing, and give ample time for thorough disinfection of all municipal government buildings,” Bauzon said.

Only the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Public Order and Safety Office, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office, Municipal Birthing Clinic, and the Market Officers of the Economic Enterprise Office remained open.

The operations of affected offices will resume on Monday, January 24. (Jerick Pasiliao)
