THE Asingan local government already vaccinated 70.71% of its total eligible adult population, a tad closer to reaching the town’s herd immunity.

Mayor Carlos Lopez Jr., in a radio interview, said the town already lists 29,700 vaccinated adults, out of 42,000 total eligible adult population.  And, 18,000 of these have completed their two doses.

Lopez said the local government unit’s objective is to vaccinate the remaining targeted individuals before December.

On Monday, November 15, the town launched its pediatric vaccination roll-out for youngsters aged 12 to 17 years old.

Three days will be dedicated to the vaccination of the town’s estimated 6,000 youngsters in the town’s 21 barangays.

The remaining two days will be reserved for adults.

“We aim to vaccinate 1,000 minors per day”, said Lopez. (Ahikam Pasion)
