THE provincial government started its COVID-19 vaccination drive for youngsters aged 12 to 17 years old at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center Gymnasium in Lingayen, on Thursday, November 4.

Dr. Anna de Guzman said the new rollout is part of the provincial government’s intensified efforts to have more of the 2.1 million targeted eligible population    vg vaccinated.

Targeted today are 200,000 teenagers aged 12 to 17 out of 1.9 million Pangasinenses, said de Guzman.

De Guzman pointed out that the vaccination of youngsters is in preparation for the possible resumption of face-to-face classes next year.

The PHO urged other LGUs to do a rollout and persuade individuals to be inoculated so the province can achieve herd immunity.

To facilitate vaccination in more areas, the PHO also began deploying six groups for its mobile vaccination program. (Ahikam Pasion)
