More than 3k vaccinated weekly at R1MC
THE Region 1 Medical Center (R1MC) is seeing people’s positive response to President Rodrigo Dutere’s call to be vaccinated with more than 3,000 persons already being administered vaccines weekly (3 sessions weekly).
This was confirmed by Dr. Joseph Mejia, R1MC hospital chief, in an interview on Monday, October 25 and said there are more than 1,000 persons lining up to be vaccinated each session.
Earlier, Duterte urged hospitals and local government units to ramp up their vaccination drive to enable the country to reach herd immunity by vaccinating 70% of eligible population before the year ends.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health-Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD) reported it has recorded more than 2 million individuals vaccinated in Region 1. (Ahikam Pasion)
