Ex-Presidential assistant seeks congress post
A FORMER presidential assistant is seeking to run as representative of the congressional Third District of Pangasinan.
Generoso ‘Bang’ Mamaril, presidential assistant for Maritime Affairs during PGMA’s term, filed his certificate of candidacy to the COMELEC provincial office Thursday afternoon, October 7.
A resident of Malasiqui town, Mamaril seeks to unseat the post being held by the Arenas matriarch.
Mamaril said he sees the potential of the products from the Third District such as the San Carlos City mangoes, for export which he claims could be sold overseas for several times more than its current value in the domestic market.
Mamaril also said he plans to introduce investment opportunities for residents in the district, using the experience he gained in public service.
This is his third attempt to seek a seat in Congress. (Ahikam Pasion)
