San Carlos City lifts liquor ban
BUT NO DRINKING IN PUBLIC
THE San Carlos City government partially lifted its liquor ban from June 16 up to 30.
City Mayor Julier Resuello on Wednesday issued Administrative Order No. 011-21 that allows the selling and consumption of alcoholic beverages. It, however, still bans drinking in public places.
Meanwhile, the mayor issued the following reminders: 1) The province-wide curfew from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. is still being enforced. 2) The market schedule per barangay and checkpoints are still in effect. 3) Quarantine identification (ID) card or pass will still be required to enter both the old and new public markets but will no longer be required to enter malls. 4)
Residents 15 years old and below are still restricted to go outside of their residence except for medical, humanitarian, or emergency cases. (They are also not allowed to bike for leisure purposes outside their homes).
He clarified that non-residents of the city are also not allowed to enter the public markets except authorized persons outside of residence (APORs), who will be required to present their ID upon entry.
“The public market will only accommodate 50 percent of its capacity to ensure effective implementation of social distancing,” he said.
Meanwhile, travelers from areas under general community quarantine with heightened restrictions like Rizal, Laguna, and Cavite are still prohibited from entering the city except for medical, emergency, humanitarian, and other official trips of APORs related to their functions. (Jerick Pasiliao)
