THE Provincial Health Office (PHO reported that as of May 10, Monday, the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines in Pangasinan has already benefited 37,098 persons in the province.

PHO chief Dr. Anna Ma. Teresa de Guzman said most of the vaccinated persons were listed  in the identified Group A priority group of the government’s vaccination program, most of whom were doctors, nurses and medical technologists in both public and private hospitals as well those attending the isolation facilities.

De Guzman added that some towns and cities have already started to inoculate barangay health workers, barangay health emergency response teams, senior citizens and persons with comorbidities.

She said she expects the complete inoculation of persons listed in A1 priority group by June or July depending on the delivery of allocated vaccines to the province by the health department.

Meanwhile, she assured that amid the high heat index that is being experienced in the province, the allocated vaccine supplies are properly stored in the cold storage facilities to maintain the efficacy of the vaccines.

She urged power suppliers in the province to advice the provincial government of any future scheduled power interruptions so that preparations can be made to secure the vaccines in the cold storage facilities. (Jerick Pasiliao)
