Fire in Dagupan City raze 50 houses

SIXTY families residing in 50 houses Sitio Riverside, Barangay Pantal in Dagupan City were left homeless after the fire  struck 12:15 noon, Thursday March 30 that reached 4th alarm.

Fire Superintendent Georgian Pascua, BFP Pangasinan fire marshal, said the fire quickly spread from one house to another, as they were made of light materials and are built close to each other and was only out after two hours

Firetrucks from Dagupan BFP, Panda fire volunteers, City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office immediately rushed to the scene, their access to the area was hampe3red by narrow alleys.

Pascua said 12 fire stations from other towns responded to the 4th alarm.

Homeless fire victims were brought to the Doña Victoria Q. Zarate Elementary School, and University of Pangasinan Barangay Pantal for temporary shelter. (Ahikam Pasion)
