2 teens nabbed in buy-bust ops
TWO out-of-school youths, aged 18 and 19 respectively, were arrested in separate buy-bust operations by the Dagupan City PNP.
Kenneth Ceralde, 18, a resident of Arellano Street in Barangay Pantal, Dagupan City, was first arrested by authorities Tuesday night, February 23.
The arrest resulted in the seizure of two plastic sachets containing dried marijuana leaves that weighed five grams and the P500 buy-bust money.
On Wednesday afternoon, February 24, cohort John Michael Untalan, 19, of Barangay Banaoang, Santa Barbara, was also arrested following a follow-up buy-bust op in Barangay Caranglaan, Dagupan City.
A police officer, posing as a buyer, gave Untalan a P1,000 marked money and four pieces of boodle money in exchange of five large plastic sachets containing high-grade marijuana leaves.
Three more large plastic sachets containing dried marijuana leaves were stacked in his bag were discovered, with two glass tooters, and P27, 300 cash, cellphone, and driver’s license.
The marijuana confiscated from Untalan weighed 80 grams.
Both suspects have been charged with violation of Sections 5, 11, and 12 of Republic Act 9165. (Ahikam Pasion)
