2 men shot by suspects riding in tandem

THE criminals on motorcycles may have staged a comeback in Pangasinan when two shooting incidents both perpetrated by armed men riding in tandem were recorded recently in towns of Malasiqui and Calasiao.

The latest of the two incidents happened at 10:55 a.m. on February 4 when Wilson Larsen 24, of Nalsian Norte, Malasiqui was shot from behind by unidentified suspects on board a blue Honda Wave 125 motorcycle.

Larsen was riding his motorcycle when he was tailed by the suspects and opened fire when they got close to him. Wounded, he was rushed to the Malasiqui Municipal Hospital in Barangay Cabatling while the suspects fled to the eastern direction towards the town of Villasis.

The other shooting incident that happened a day earlier, February 3, at 9:45 p.m. when Jaycee Pineda, 36, an Online Bingo cashier in Malasiqui and a resident of Dagupan City, was shot by two unidentified suspects on board a motorcycle.

When the incident happened, Pineda was also riding in his motorcycle and shot by the suspects who were following him from behind.

The victim suffered gunshot wounds on the right shoulder, abdomen and right thigh and was rushed to the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital in San Carlos City and later transferred to the Villaflor Doctors Memorial Hospital. (Leonardo Micua)
