AN online survey to determine the level of acceptance of vaccination by people in Region 1 is being conducted by the Department of Health – Center for Health Development I, according to Dr. Rheuel Bobis, infectious disease cluster head and spokesperson of DOH Region 1.

Speaking at the virtual KBP Forum, Bobis said that the results of the survey will determine the type of comprehensive information education campaign in the region that DOH-CHD1 will have to conduct.

DOH-CHD1 is already preparing a communications plan that will address all the issues pertaining to the vaccine in order to provide accurate information to the people.

Bobis said an information and education campaign is needed to erase from the minds of the people about what they were hearing from unauthorized sources that the vaccine is harmful.

He said he expects the online survey to be completed soon because the vaccines are already arriving starting during the first quarter of this year.

He urged people not to listen to disinformation being peddled by groups opposed to COVID-19 vaccines.

At the same time, Bobis revealed that his office is already conducting an inventory on possible cold storage facilities where the vaccines allocated for Region 1 will be stored.
