San Carlenians champion Philippine Swimming League 2019

THE San Carlos Searingan Swimming Team was hailed as the champion after besting its competitors in the 165th Philippine Swimming League (PSL) National Series in categories Class C and Novice held at the Diliman Preparatory School swimming pool, on September 29 in Commonwealth, Quezon City.

The team garnered a total of 620 points which made them secure the top spot.

Meanwhile, the Binangonan Splashers Swimming Team placed second with 573 points, followed by the Pasay Dolphins Swimming Team which settled third place with 522 points.

Settled at fourth spot is the Susan Papa Swim Academy with 521 points, while the VSJA Swimming Team finished fifth at 469 score.

Coaches Jojo Buenaventura and Virgie Quitaleg said they were proud of the team’s achievement, another milestone by the children and thanked all the parents who continually support them.

PSL President Alexandre Papa thanked the coaches who trained the young swimmers to achieve their goals.

The PSL is gearing up for international tournaments in United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, and United States next year. (Melody Valenton)
