FIFTY-seven high school students took over the city government’s reins after they took their oaths of office during the 119^th Araw ng Kalayaan celebration at the city plaza on June 12 before Mayor Belen T. Fernandez.

This year’s batch of Manlingkor ya Kalangweran (MYK) elected Kay S. Fernandez (Pangasinan Universal Institute) as the city mayor and Marla M. Ober (Dagupan City National High School) as city vice mayor.

Elected as city councilors are Dianne T. Prado and Harmond A. Santos Jr. (both students of MGSSSI), Ed Ballesteros (ECIS), Dannielle R. Dela Cruz (DS), Resty V. Ulanday (UL), Elyza E. Paraan (LNU- FQD), Benedict C. Quejado and Kristen E. Domingo (both students of SJCS), Maricris L. Callanta (DCNHS) and Tiffany C. Cusi (SAGS).

Alfred C. Delos Reyes (BBNHS) is president of the Liga ng mga Barangay.
