BINYAGAN SA BAYAN – Archbishop Socrates Villegas administers the sacrament of baptism for some 300 children while Belen Fernandez stands in as everyone’s godmother ‘ninang’ during the ‘Binyagan sa Bayan,’ the annual mass baptism project of the city government in collaboration with the archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan and the Rotary Club of Uptown Dagupan (headed by Perla Tañedo). The mass baptism was held at the St. John the Evangelist Cathedral on December 12. The Rotary Club of Uptown Dagupan gifted the newly baptized children with grocery items.
