DOLE to set up one-stop shops on Labor Day job fairs
THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will set up one-stop shops at the Labor Day job fairs in SM City Rosales, Calasiao Sports Gymnasium and Pangasinan PESO Compound in Lingayen to provide job seekers free employment facilitation services.
Regional Director Grace Ursua of DOLE in the Ilocos said the employment facilitation services included enrolment in social security and medical insurance; enrolment in shelter security membership; and issuance and renewal of professional licenses.
These will also feature the services of DOLE, National Conciliation and Mediation Board, National Labor Relations Commission, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration and Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board while the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority will offer free pampering services.
The SM City Rosales jobs fair aims to bring together 45 local and 20 overseas employers; Calasiao jobs fair, 45 local and overseas employers; and Lingayen jobs fair, 15 local and 5 overseas. (AMM_PIA Pangasinan)
