THE Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)-Dagupan branch recently held an information dissemination program on the new generation currencies at the Don Raymundo Celeste Sports Complex in Bolinao.

The awareness drive familiarized the public on the features of the new generation banknotes to protect them from counterfeiters through brochures and flyers, one-on-one briefing on the salient security features of the new generation currencies.

The information drive, conducted by BSP-Dagupan branch, was one of the services offered during the Diskwento Caravan or roving discount fair of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Pangasinan.

The Diskwento Caravan, aimed at helping consumers stretch their budget through price discounts, featured manufacturers and local distributors that included Magic Supermarket, National Book Store, Home Ideas Superstore, Sheridan Marketing, BHF Appliance Center and Grandville Sales.
