Explosive device lobbed at teacher’s house

MANGALDAN—An unidentified suspect lobbed an explosive device at a garage of the house of a private school teacher at dawn of April 26 in Barangay Banaoang here.

The explosive device hit the right side portion of a parked blue Toyota Innova at the garage of Sally Jarin, 46.

Bryan Jarin, 23, said around 2:20 a.m., he was awakened by a motorcycle that arrived and after few seconds, an explosion was heard at their garage.

No one was hurt.

Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered six small pieces of metal suspected to be parts of an explosive device. They were submitted to the Explosive and Ordnance Division for examination.

Motive for the incident is yet to be established. (Tita Roces)
