Man survives attack by hitmen riding-in-tandem

VILLASIS—A 37-year-old helper at the Villasis Police Station (VPS) here survived an ambush by hitmen riding-in-tandem on April 26.

Based on the initial investigation, the victim Virgilio Delfin, resident of Barangay Puelay here was riding his motorcycle in Barangay Piaz when the suspects who rode by fired at him several times.

Delfin was hit in the stomach but still managed to drive off and hid in nearby house while the suspects fled.

He was rushed to the hospital and is now recovering.

Police recovered four cartridge cases of caliber 45 and one misfired bullet.

Delfin admitted he received several death threats from unknown persons and police are looking at personal animosities as motive. (Hilda Austria)
