DOLE hires students, OSYs for summer jobs

THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Dagupan Field Office hired students and out-of-school youth (OSY) for a summer work program that started April 4.

Labor and Employment Office II Panfilo Dioquino Jr. of DOLE-Dagupan said 23 private companies, local government units and other sponsor-institutions in Pangasinan pledged their commitment to provide 700 jobs to students and OSY who passed the minimum requirements: LGU Mangaldan (30), LGU Sta. Barbara (150), LGU Dagupan (100), University of Luzon (100), Jollibee Nepo Mall (20), Jollibee Mangaldan (20), Jollibee San Carlos (20), Chowking Mangaldan (10), Greenwich Nepo Mall (5), LGU San Carlos (20), Dagupan Colleges Foundation (40), LGU Calasiao (38), Pangasinan State University-SanCarlos (20), Perpetual Help College of Pangasinan (50), Chimesco (5), McDonald’s Dagupan I (12), McDonald’s Lucao (12), McDonald’s at University of Pangasinan (4), Chowking Calasiao (14), Jollibee AB Fernandez (10), Lyceum-Northwestern University (45), McDonald’s Bayambang (2) and AIE College Dagupan (20).

“Under the SPES, DOLE shoulders 40 percent of the salaries of beneficiaries, while their employers pay the remaining 60 percent,” he said. (AMM_PIA-Pangasinan)
