‘Espada ni Urduja’ award to Nora Aunor
PHILIPPINE movies’ superstar Nora Aunor will be the first recipient of the ‘Espada ni Urduja’, the highest accolade that will be awarded by the Urduja Film Festival on October 15, 2015 at the Star Plaza Hotel in Dagupan City.
The “Espada ni Urduja” – TANGLAW ng Sining ng Pelikulang Pilipino – The Lifetime Achievement Award, is presented to senior legendary film artists who made significant contributions to Philippine cinema.
The sword is made of brass and stainless steel crafted in Pangasinan.
The film festival, an annual affair for students during the Open Film Competition in Region 1, opens on September 28, 2015 with film showing at the Robinsons Movieworld Pangasinan and Ilocos.
