Balon Dagupan’s new ambulance ready 24/7

BALON Dagupan has a new ambulance to serve patients needing emergency medical attention.

It served its first patient last October 3 when a participant in the pre-marriage counseling organized by the City Population Office suddenly experienced abdominal pain and eventually birth contractions.

The ambulance was quickly dispatched by the City Action Service Team to transport Cindy S. Dela Cruz after City Population Officer Alex P. de Venecia called for assistance.

The quick response enabled Cindy to give birth to a baby boy at the Region 1 Medical Center.

Mayor Belen Fernandez has instructed De Venecia to make the availability of the new ambulance known to all barangays for emergency cases.

De Venecia has recommended to the mayor that a motorboat ambulance shall also be made available to serve the island barangays.

Emergency calls for transport to hospitals will be arranged by Lito Ocampo (075-632-2627) head of City Action Service Team, 24/7.
