THERE is no stopping even degree-holders among cycling-crazy Pangasinan from competing in bikefests anywhere in the province that allow them to race against each other.

Led by Engr. Rodolfo Dion, Atty. Arginald Esguerra and Dr. Bonifacio Balingit, the Team Charisse Construction owned by Dion topped the 20-kilometer team-time-trial event organized by the Dagupan City Cycling Club held at the Lucao-Pantal section of the Don Jose de Venecia highway last July 5.

The eight-man Charisse squad registered team time of 32 minutes, 48.95 seconds.

Team Reyna led by Carlito Bandong came in a close second with a clocking of 33:21.61 while Team Lingayen skippered by Ely Pasiliao landed third 45 seconds off the pace.

Team Sembrano placed fourth; Team Bonuan, fifth; Team Bonuan and Team Jaguar landed sixth and seventh, respectively.

Elated by the success of the race, DCCC president Ricky Deocares plans to hold another team race on September 13 and December 26 with the participation of other cycling clubs in Pangasinan and neighboring provinces. (JAG, Jr.)
