Pag-IBIG extends calamity loans to members

THE Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG) is now receiving calamity loan applications from members living in areas proclaimed under a state of calamity.

Members from the towns of Umingan, Aguilar, Binmaley, Calasiao, Mangatarem and Sta. Barbara as well as from the 19 barangays in Dagupan City placed under a state of calamity, can avail of the loan provided they meet the eligibility requirements.

Eligible members are those who have made at least 24 monthly contributions, whether continuous or broken, and an active member of the Pag-IBIG program or have made five contributions in the last six months prior to the application.

A member may loan up to 80 percent of one’s total accumulated value (TAV) with an interest rate of 5.95 percent per annum.

TAV is equivalent to a member’s contribution plus employer’s contribution plus earned dividends, explained Natavio.
