THE adoptive mother of a 15-year old drug courier who was arrested last month was also arrested last March 6 by Dagupan City Police Station (DCPS) operatives.

The mother, Sheila Bangon, 29, a resident of Sitio Kamandag, Bonuan Tondaligan, Dagupan City was caught in a buy-bust operation where she sold one sachet of shabu to a police poseur buyer.

Apart from the sold sachet of illegal drug, the police authorities recovered in her possession another five sachets of shabu with a combined weight of two grams together with the buy-bust money.

Bangon’s adopted daughter, alias Tinas, was earlier arrested in a drug raid while Tinas’ father is already behind bars for a drug offense.

Cases for the violation of Section 5 (selling of drugs) and Sec. 11 (possession of drugs) of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are now being prepared for filing against the suspect.–Johanne R. Macob
