3 notorious drug dealers arrested in Asingan, Mangaldan

ASINGAN–A trader temporarily residing in Barangay Macalong here and listed as priority target by the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Ciouncil (MADAC) was arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation on March 7.

Recovered from the suspect, Elias Sultan, were one small and two medium-sized transparent sachets of shabu, P1,000 marked money, knife, a home-made Cal. 38 revolver loaded with five ammunition, nine reserved ammunition placed in a black belt bag, cash money of P4,900 and other items.

The suspect was brought to the Asingan Police Station for futher investyigation.  A case for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, Violation of RA 8294 and violation of the election Gun Ban are now being prepared against the suspect

Meanwhile, two other persons included in the drug watch list of the police in Mangaldan were arrested also last March 7 along Ydia Street in Barangay Bari, Mangaldan.

Arrested by personnel of the Mangaldan Police Station in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Region 1 in another buy-bust operation were Allan Garcia, 24, and Jose Cariño, 40, both residents of the area where they were arrested.

The two were caught in a shabu buy-bust operation.

Confiscated from the possession of Garcia were six pieces of marked P500 bills used by the police operatives for buying 10 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline granules suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu.

Simultaneously, seized from the possession of Cariño were three plastic sachets containing 25 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing alleged shabu.
