Letter from Sen. Alan Cayetano

By February 15, 2013Governance, News

To my brothers and sisters in Pangasinan –

I launched my campaign for reelection last Monday at Pritil market, a public market in Tondo to update myself on the plight of small entrepreneurs, particularly the market vendors, to see how the gains of the Aquino administration have trickled down to their level.

Essentially, my platform and agenda for 2013-12016 will be about PiTiK – Presyo, Trabaho, Kita. In my breakfast with the market vendors association there, I listened to their daily expectations and frustrations.

I explained and assured them that my PiTiK platform will dwell on initiating legislation that will effectively lower prices, create more jobs, and increase wages to improve the livelihoods particularly of those who are struggling to make ends meet every day.

I am fully aware that PiTiK issues are at the root of our country’s social, economic and political woes and these must be addressed squarely.

I will be in Dagupan next week (if my schedule doesn’t change) to listen to city’s barangay folks and validate how they are coping with their own issues with PiTiK.

Kita po tayo next week!

Sincerely.

Alan
