MANGATAREM—The chairman of Barangay Quezon here, Ricardo Torres, was killed at a carnival station at the town plaza at around 5:30 p.m. on December 24.

The police had formed Special Investigation Task Group Torres to focus on the case and arrest the still unidentified suspect.

Senior Superintend Manolito Labador, officer-in-charge police provincial director, said investigators are looking at possible motives in the killing, including personal, work-related and the victim’s pending case on illegal drugs possession.

Six empty shells of caliber .45 were recovered at the crime scene.—Eva Visperas
