Letter from Sen. Alan Peter S. Cayetano

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Pangasinan –

As we welcome the New Year with lots of optimism for our families and communities, I beg you to continue to pray for our homeless brothers and sisters in Compostela Valley and Davao Oriental.

Many continue to cope with their daily struggle to survive even as they grieve the loss of family members and neighbors. Many of their basic needs, from water to food to shelter, will not ever be fully met, not with our own government’s constraints and budgetary limitations.

I appeal to your kind generosity to help rebuild their lives. Organize your own fund-and-material raising in your own neighborhoods.  They need more clothes, shoes and slippers to keep their dignity…sanitation essentials…books for children so they can continue their education…construction hand tools and equipment, etc.

Above all, they need our prayers in order that they may keep their faith and have the moral and physical strength to move on and start new lives.

May you gain all the blessings that you deserve through out 2013!

Happy New Year po sa inyong lahat!

Sincerely,

Alan
