YOUNG CHESS WHIZ–Dennis Gutierrez III (seated, right) from San Fabian, recently won a gold medal in the Open Under-8 division during   Singapore International Chess Festival held at the Jurong East Sports Complex on January 1.  He beat Jiddan Firman of Indonesia to top with 8 points.
