YMCA based Filipinas Wado Ryu reaps a gold, 2 silvers and 2 bronzes in the 2nd Mayor Strike Revilla Karate Cup held September 19, 2009 at Molino Gymnasium, Camella Homes, Bacoor Cavite.

Rookie Narayana Rsi Das Mesina, a 6-year-old student of Mother Goose, won the gold in the 6 to 7 Boy’s Kumite. Narayana’s stable stance and timely reverse punch made him top court C and eventually the champion when he defeated the top player of court D.

John Matthew Manantan, 11, student of La Sallette, won the silver in Kumite and bronze in Kata, While Jayson Ramil Macaalay, 18, a Lyceum Northwestern student in the finals and settled for silver in 18-above Men’s Kumite and bronze in Kata.

Nine teams participated in the event.
