TYPHOON Ondoy reset all sports activities in Metro Manila last weekend including the Manila Criterium Grand Prix that was supposed to be held on September 27 at Rizal Park in Luneta.

According to Ric Rodriguez, the race director, the bikefest was reset to October 18 at the same venue.  Maria Orosa Street will remain the starting and finish line.

The Pangasinan riders better known as Pitaki Boyz won the team and individual titles last year with Manaoag-son Ericson Obosa spearheading the local squad as the defending individual titlist.  He will be joined by his able lieutenant Sherwin Carrera of San Fabian, Arnel Quirimit of Pozorrubio, Renato Sembrano and Irish Valenzuela of Mangaldan and Renier Clauna of Bugallon.

The Pangasinan team sponsored by Guam based Jazy Sportswear-Beacon is expected to meet stiff competitions against the squads of Phil. Army, Phil. Air Force, Phil. Navy, Nueva Ecija and Fil-Chinese Federation Cycling Group and other unheralded teams of Metro Manila and nearby provinces like Rizal, Bulacan and Laguna. -JAG, Jr.
