YMCA-Fil Wado-Ryu shines in Okazaki Cup
WADO Ryu karateras based in YMCA Pangasinan won seven medals — two gold, one silver, and four bronze — in the Okazaki International Cup held February 15 at Xavier School in Metro Manila.
John Enrico Vasquez won a gold in the 6-7 years old boy’s kata while Keifer Espino topped the 10-11 boys’ kumite.
Mark Andrew Manantan won a silver in the 12-13 boy’s kata and bronze medals were harvested by Jayson Ramil Macaalay in the 18-above men’s kumite, Fidel Salvador Reyes in the 16-17 boys kumite, David Rosario in the 12-13 boy’s kumite and John Matthew Manantan in the 10-11 boy’s kata.
The event was organized by the International Shotokan Karate Federation.
