Cops get medals for arresting ‘bad Rambos’
STA. BARBARA–Four policemen here were each awarded Medalya Ng Kasanayan by Philippine National Police Director General Jesus Verzosa for the arrest of three heavily armed men packing some 200 ammunition last March 3.
Verzosa personally pinned the medals on P/Inspector Ricardo Urbano, SPO1 Alfredo Escorpiso, SPO1 Hilarion Gabrillo and PO1 Bernard Bayani during the regular meeting of the Municipal Peace and Order Council headed by Mayor Reynaldo Velasco, himself a retired police general.
P/Supt. Eric Noble, town police chief, said the suspects were arrested en flagrante by joint police patrol operations that acted on a tip from a Barangay Information Network.
SPO3 Ruth Poserio, recently adjudged one of the 10 Most Outstanding Police Officers of Region 1 by the Rotary Club International 3790, will also receive the Medalya sa Kasanayan from the PNP.

Poserio, a registered nurse, mother of four and whose husband is an Overseas Filipino Worker earlier received her plaque and P20,000 cash award from Rotary Districct Governor Jesus Nicdao.
Poserio also received cash rewards from 3rd district Rep. Rachel Arenas and Velasco.
