Calasiao teener joins USA cadet team
A YOUNG judo player in California, with roots in Calasiao, has qualified to join the 2009 Cadet World Team of the United States.
The Fil-Am teen, Destinee Parayno Nagtalon, 14 yrs old, granddaughter of Juanito “Ito” Parayno from Bued, Calasiao, living Cupertino California, won her match to automatically qualified to join the USA team to compete in Budapest, Hungary in August.
She represented the San Jose Buddhist Judo Club in the trials held during the USA Judo Youth and Scholastic National Championships in York, Pa.
She won her match in the Juvenile B divisions as the top seeds.
