LINGAYEN–Members of the provincial board has invited officials of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) for a briefing on the mechanics of the poll automation for 2010 elections.

Commissioner Nicodemo Ferrer, who is from Binmaley, the agency’s regional director and provincial directors are expected to be at the Question Hour on Monday’s session of the provincial board Board Member Alfonso Bince Jr., in an interview with The PUNCH, said they want to learn more about the poll automation, including the system for voting, counting of votes and other details, which they, in turn, will echo to their constituents.

He said the board can temporarily lift the rule prohibiting non-board members to ask questions during the Question Hour to allow local media to participate.#
