Scholarships offered to high school teachers
THE Tan Yan Kee Foundation Inc. – Science Education and Engineering Scholarship Program (Tan Yan Kee – SEEP) will offer scholarships for a masters degree to school teachers in Dagupan this November.
In cooperation with Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU), Tan Yan Kee Foundation asked the Dagupan City Schools Division to recommend high school teachers who wish to earn masters degrees in either biology or mathematics.
The successful candidates will undergo a two-year customized program of study.
Qualified scholars will be provide tuition fee subsidy with stipend and book allowance, including a one-time research allowance and reimbursement of actual transportation expenses from one’s official station to Metro Manila.
Admission into the programs of study requires endorsement of the Department of Education and must meet the qualification set by AdMU.
The Master’s Degree in Biology Education and Master’s Degree in Mathematics Education will be given by AdMU.
The scholarship program aims to build a corps of specialists in the area of science and mathematics in public secondary schools.
Both Tan Yan Kee Foundation and AdMU recognize the vital role that education plays in uplifting the nation and its citizens. — LM
