Urdaneta folks put up P.5 M reward for Parayno killer

LINGAYEN—Concerned citizens, businessmen and officials of Urdaneta City have put up a P.5 million reward for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect for the recent killing of the son of a city councilor.

This was announced even as Senior Superintendent Isagani Nerez, provincial police director, told The  PUNCH Wednesday in a phone interview that there are positive developments regarding their investigation on the gunslaying last March 5 of Engineer Rene Parayno, 43, son of City Councilor Julio Parayno, few meters away from their residence in barangay Bayaoas, Urdaneta City.

Nerez said Task Force Rene, composed of various teams from the police force, is working double time for the early resolution of the case.

Based on witnesses’ account, the police have come up with a cartographic sketch of the suspect.

The police are looking at many angles behind the killing, including personal, business and political.—EVA
