ABS-CBN brings hope to thousand job-seekers

The ABS-CBN Kapamilya Jobs Fair simultaneously held last May 13, 2006 in key cities nationwide, saw thousands of job seekers trooping to the various sites.

 In Luzon alone, over ten thousand flocked in the jobs fair venues in Dagupan, Baguio, Cabanatuan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Naga and Legazpi and tried their chance to land in their desired jobs, local or overseas.

 Out of the almost four thousand who converged in Dagupan City People’s Astrodome, about 2,600 managed to go through initial screening by the various hiring companies and recruitment agencies.

In Baguio City, some1,218 job seekers registered, while   1,445 were at Magic Star Mall Activity Center in Tarlac, 1,760 at Mega Center the Mall in Cabanatuan, 941 at SM Pampanga, 1,072 at PESO Naga-City Hall Compound and 1,427 at LCC Activity Center, LCC Mall, Legazpi City.

ABS-CBN Regional Network Group Vice President Rolando Valdueza and Luzon Cluster Head, Ms Irene C. Copiozo said that ABS-CBN will continue to uphold its public service thrust through the Lingkod Kapamilya projects which include not only jobs fairs but also series of medical-dental missions and livelihood training and seminars all throughout the year.
