‘Florita’ flood victims get relief goods from City hall, DSWD

SOME 3,000 relief packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) were distributed by the DSWD Regional Field Office I and Dagupan City government to residents severely affected by several days of flooding brought by recent Typhoon Florita and high tide.

The four days of house-to-house relief operations led by Mayor Belen T. Fernandez team from the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRMO), CSWD, Task Force Bantay Ilog, Dagupan City Police Station, barangay councils and volunteers, were conducted starting August 26, 2022.

Recipients were residents of Barangays Malued, Bacayao Norte, Lasip Chico, Pogo Chico, Pogo Grande, Lasip Grande and Bacayao Sur.

The Department of Health regional office also donated Doxycycline capsules and hyposol water disinfectants for residents to treat water-borne diseases, collapsible water jugs and facemasks. (CIO)
