Pangasinan formally adopts Presidential Adviser on Legislative Affairs

GOVERNOR Amado “Pogi” I. Espino III, together with Provincial Government of Pangasinan department heads and employees, personally welcomed Presidential Adviser on Legislative Affairs Luzverfeda “Baby” E. Pascual as an adopted daughter of Pangasinan on August 2.

Sec. Baby Pascual is also the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office Head at the PLLO House of Representatives.

The Secretary is acknowledged as an adopted daughter of Pangasinan in recognition for her love and service to the Province of Pangasinan.

In her message, Sec. Pascual expressed her appreciation as an adopted daughter of Pangasinan which was formalized through Provincial Resolution No. 574-2021 passed by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

“I’m so happy that you made this permanent. I can proudly say now that I am from Pangasinan,” said Sec. Pascual in her courtesy call on Governor Espino.

The Secretary also praised the administration of Governor Espino for successfully executing his duty as the father of Pangasinan.

“We are so blessed to have a Governor like you. ‘Yong sipag, tiyaga, at pagpapakumbaba ay makikita mo talaga. Sa Espino family, andoon ‘yong paglilingkod at pagmamahal sa Pangasinan,” Sec. Pascual stated.

In response, Governor Espino also thanked Sec. Pascual for her love for the Province of Pangasinan.

“Sa lahat ng naibigay mo sa Pangasinan, matagal ka nang Pangasinense. Ang pagkakataong magkaroon ng posisyon sa national government ay hindi lang biyaya kung hindi, isang pagmamahal mo sa probinsya ng Pangasinan. Today, you are considered formally, a true daughter of Pangasinan,” said Governor Espino.

The provincial chief executive also urged the officials of the Provincial Government to continue practicing good governance and integrity in public service.

“Ituloy natin ang mga ginagawa natin na isa sa mga pinagmamalaki ni Ate Baby sa national government. Ang mga opisyales ng probinsya ay ginagampanan ang kanilang trabaho,” said Governor Espino.

Joining Sec. Pascual were her husband, Mr. Felimon Gutierrez Jr. from the town of Sison, Pangasinan, Brig. Gen. Bartolome Bustamante, PCol. Frankie Candelario, PNP Regional Director Emmanuel Peralta, and PNP Provincial Dir. Ronald Gayo.

Provincial Administrator Nimrod Camba and some department heads of the Provincial Government also attended the courtesy meeting that was held at the Office of the Governor.

After the courtesy visit, Sec. Baby Pascual proceeded to the 76th Regular Session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan led by Vice Governor Mark Ronald Lambino and Majority Floor Leader Nestor “Nikiboy” Reyes.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan awarded the Provincial Resolution Plaque as an official adopted daughter ng Pangasinan. Second District Congressman Jumel Anthony Espino was also present during the awarding.

Senior Board Member Rosary Gracia Perez-Tababa read the Provincial Resolution No. 574-2921, “Declaring Honorable Secretary Luzverfeda “Baby” E. Pascual Gutierrez as an adopted daughter of the Province of Pangasinan.”

“Finally, thank you so much Pangasinan that now there is permanency. I am Baby Pascual from Pangasinan,” said Sec. Pascual during the awarding ceremony. /PJES
