THE Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) launched its Veterans Caravan in Urdaneta City on Thursday, March 7.

PVAO’s Sheryl Simeon said the caravan sought to facilitate the processing of 47 aging veterans’ requirements without need for them to travel to Metro Manila to avail of PVAO’s services.

As of writing, there are surviving 42 veterans in the province. The oldest is at 107 years old.

The PVAO partnered with the Philippine Red Cross and Conrado F. Estrella Regional Medical and Trauma Center for its medical mission at the Urdaneta City Cultural Center and the Philippine Veterans Bank to assist the veterans with personal banking requirements.

The caravan also updated data on the province’s surviving veterans to ensure continuous delivery of services and benefits to them. (Ahikam Pasion)
