10k beachgoers expected weekly in Tondaligan this summer

WITH the onset of the warm dry season officially announced by PAGASA on Friday, March 22, the Bonuan Tondaligan Beach is now ready to take on thousands of visitors and beachgoers .

Albert Gregorio, Tondaligan Beach Park Administrator, said lifeguards are always on standby, while augmentation from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and the Philippine Navy are also available to ensure the safety of visitors particularly, swimmers and bathers.

Gregorio said the Tondaligan Beach records around 10,000 visitors on weekends, and during the whole summer period.

Night swimming, and camping tents are not allowed, while drinking of liquor is only allowed inside the 152 sheds in the area.

Gregorio said that price of sheds for rent along Tondaligan Beach remain the same: P300 on weekdays and minimum of P800 during weekends or holidays, depending on the length of the visitors’ stay.

Gregorio urged visitors to report overpricing by shed owners for proper action. (Ahikam Pasion)
