Diamond Jubilee Jobs Fair hires 158 jobseekers
SOME 158 job applicants were hired on-the-spot at the Diamond Jubilee Jobs Fair organized by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) on November 26, 2022 at the City Astrodome.
PESO Manager Joy Siapno said the new hires were selected from 536 applicants that were interviewed at the jobs fair, fourth event of the 2022 Linggo ng Kabataan organized by the city government under Mayor Belen Fernandez’s administration.
Sixteen local agencies and three overseas employment agencies offering various work positions participated in the event.
Mayor Fernandez cited the partnership of the city government with Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Labor and Employment, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation, private companies and employers in bringing work opportunities closer to Dagupeños.
