Farmers ask LGU to build multi-purpose pavements for palay-dying
FARMERS called on the Sta. Barbara local government to build multi-purpose pavements where they can dry their palay so that they can stop drying their palay on outer lanes of highways.
The farmers said in the absence of a regular drying facilities, they are forced to dry their still wet palay along the Malanay Road in Sta. Barbara.
They said that they know that it is illegal to dry their palay on highways and are risking lives being hit by speeding vehicles but they have no other alternative where their palay can be dried for milling. (104.7 IFM Dagupan)
